HEART DISEASE
Starting an exercise program when you have been diagnosed with heart disease can be a little unnerving. “What can I do safely? How much is too much? What is most effective?”
Our staff, combined, have over 40 years of experience exercising people with heart disease. We teach nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals about exercise with heart disease.
We have the education, equipment and experience to make exercise not only effective, but fun! Whether you have had a heart attack, open heart surgery, heart failure, stenting or arrythmia, we can help you get in better physical condition and reduce your risk of further heart events.
HEART FAILURE
Exercise has been shown to improve physical capacity, strength, and reduce hospitalizations. The key is to balance the type and intensity of exercise with your heart’s function. We have experience and expertise to find the right balance for you. In fact, our staff helped to design the Canadian Heart Failure Network’s exercise and physical activity guidelines.
