Bernice is a Certified Diabetes Educator and has worked as a Diabetes Nurse Clinician since 1990. As a member of the diabetes education team she provides individual and group education for adults and children with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. Bernice is committed to following an educational approach that helps individuals and their families acquire the knowledge, skill and confidence to manage their diabetes.
Her professional experience includes; member of the planning committee and a guest speaker for the Public Forum on type 2 diabetes, facilitator for professionals studying to become diabetes educators, co- chair for the National Diabetes Educators conference.
