Nicole is a dynamic and enthusiastic counsellor who pairs her past nursing experience as an RN into her practice, assisting clients with physical health issues, depression, anxiety, and family issues.
During her ten years as an RN for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (VCHA) Nicole specialized in the areas of cardiac and critical care where she cared for patients and families recovering from life threatening illnesses and traumas.
In addition to private practice, Nicole is employed at Family Services of Greater Vancouver where she facilitates group therapy in the Vancouver School system for at-risk youth in grades 4-7. The groups are designed to build healthy relationships by addressing topics like bullying, self-esteem, abuse, communication skills, and anger. As a parent of four children, Nicole is committed to understanding what is happening for a child beyond the behavior that is demonstrated.
Nicole provides a safe, caring, open environment and her collaborative approach to therapy includes searching for an individual’s unique strengths, empowering her clients to move along their path to a healthier state.
Therapy sessions are offered in the office or outside on the majestic North Shore trails as many clients prefer therapy sessions while simultaneously getting the benefits of exercise and movement.
In her spare time Nicole enjoys running, yoga and spending time with her family and dog.
